About Us

The story behind TerminalDock, what we track, and how listings get in.

What is TerminalDock?

TerminalDock is a directory for the terminal ecosystem. It indexes command-line tools, TUI apps, shells, terminal emulators, multiplexers, plugins, fonts, themes, and AI agents — anything that lives at the prompt. If a developer would reach for it in a terminal, it belongs here.

Editorial policy

Everything goes through a moderation queue before it appears on the site. We check that the tool exists, runs, and fits the terminal-ecosystem scope, then classify it by kind (CLI, TUI, shell, emulator, etc.) and category. Tools that are dead, abandoned, or duplicates get rejected. Classification is editorial with auto-suggestions; if we get it wrong, the report button on any tool page routes straight to us.

Who runs it

TerminalDock is a solo operation. No investors, no content farm — one developer working on it part-time. If you want to get in touch about a listing, partnership, data correction, or press, email hello@terminaldock.com.
